Speaker at March 2 event to discuss “Spreading Peace Through Dialogue and Service”

The Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence and Newman Catholic Campus Ministry will host Claudio Betti, assistant to the president of The Community of Sant’Egidio, March 2. Betti will discuss “Spreading Peace Through Dialogue and Service.” His talk will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Inamori Center. Lunch will be provided.

Started by a group of high school students in 1968, The Community of Sant’Egidio now has 50,000 members with chapters in 70 countries.

Betti has represented The Community in Lebanon and Mozambique. He has participated in rescue missions for Iraqi refugees.
