Sixty students, CaseEMS, CWRU police and more take part in EMS disaster drill

CaseEMS held its annual EMS Disaster Drill (MCI Drill) Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. The drill simulated an RTA bus crashing into a Greenie stop outside Tyler/Taft houses in the North Residential Village.

CaseEMS responded with Case Western Reserve University Police, Cleveland Fire Department and Cleveland EMS.

Ten students were transported to University Hospitals Case Medical Center’s emergency department for simulated treatment. More than 60 students participated in the simulation with simulated injuries ranging from broken bones to internal bleeding.

RTA donated the bus for the cause.
