Seminar on why play improves productivity in the office to be held Aug. 23

On Aug. 23, Organizational Development and Learning from the Office of Human Resources will host “Whistle While You Work,” an interactive session to highlight Stomping Ground’s concept and components. Participants will learn why adults need to play, how it helps enhance productivity as well as why team-building events sometimes produce few positive outcomes. Participants will engage in group and individual activities designed to take a mental and physical break from the workday and learn simple strategies to apply to their work group.

The session will take place Aug. 23 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Toepfer Room in Adelbert Hall. Lori Longs Painter, faculty field adviser in the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, will lead the session. To register, click here.
