Join the Office of Sustainability Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to noon for Root Rake Out to improve tree mulching on the quad through a process known as root collar excavation.
Sustainability Ambassador student workers will lead the group to rake out mulch around tree trunks to allow for proper growth and health of the trees’ roots and trunks’ bases. Your participation will help ensure a long, healthy future for our campus trees.
All tools, as well as muffins and coffee, will be provided.
In the event of light rain, the event will still be held as planned. However, if thunderstorms occur, it will be moved to the next day (Sunday, Oct 15).
Those who RSVP on Eventbrite will be notified Saturday morning if the event has been postponed.
