Results of employee health risk assessment are in

Last fall, Case Western Reserve University faculty and staff had the opportunity to complete a free, private Health Risk Assessment (HRA). More than 580 employees (10.9 percent of all employees) chose to complete the HRA.

Results revealed that the participant group engages in healthy behaviors and compared favorably to available benchmark data from the University of Michigan.

In the future, coordinators of the program hope to increase participant numbers to learn more about the current health needs of faculty and staff. In addition to the
HRA results, administrators will base planning for the university’s employee health management program on additional available health care information (e.g., benefits and pharmaceutical claims, short- and long-term disability data, employee assistance program data, etc.).
