Researchers write article on growth, success of Partners in Education, Evaluation and Research program

Faculty and partners at the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN) published an article on the growth and success of the Partners in Education, Evaluation and Research (PEER) program.

The program increases the research capacity of nonprofit organizations by pairing a staff member from that organization with a faculty research mentor.

PEER Program Coordinator Jeri Jewett-Tennant and PRCHN Director Elaine Borawski and affiliated faculty and partners Cyleste Collins, Jackie Matloud, Alison, Patrick, Mark Chupp and James Werner authored the article.

Their article, titled “Partnership among Peers: Lessons Learned from the Development of a Community Organization-Academic Research Training Program,” appeared in the fall 2016 issue of the journal Progress in Community Health Partnerships: Research, Education and Action.
