“Redistricting and Gerrymandering in America and Ohio: The Effort to Reform How Districts Are Drawn”

The Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host a Northeast Ohio Public Policy Forums event Tuesday, March 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Landmark Centre (25700 Science Park Dr., Beachwood).

This forum will look at the redistricting issue from a national and local perspective with experts in each area on the panel. The panel will discuss the latest information and the expectations for 2018, the 2020 census and more.

The discussion will be moderated by Rich Exner, a Cleveland.com reporter.

The panel will be composed of:

  • David Daley, national political writer, former editor-in-chief of Salon.com, former CEO and publisher of the Connecticut News Project, senior fellow for FairVote and a frequent lecturer and media source about gerrymandering; and
  • Catherine Turcer, the director of Common Cause Ohio and co-leader of Fair Districts Ohio.
