Professional Development Center focus group

The Department of Human Resources’ Professional Development Center is looking for volunteers to participate in a focus group exploring an on-boarding curriculum for new supervisors at Case Western Reserve University.

The focus group will be held Friday, July 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom B.

The on-boarding curriculum would give new supervisors at CWRU the knowledge and skills necessary to set them up for success within their new roles.

Staff and faculty members who have taken on their first supervisory role at CWRU within the last 12 months are invited to participate in the focus group.

The center hopes to have a diverse set of individuals from across the university to ensure a robust and well-rounded discussion. Some questions the focus group will explore:

  • What did you come into your supervisory position knowing?
  • What do you wish you had known when you first started your supervisory position at CWRU?
  • What kind of courses do you think could have positively influenced your first year experience as a new supervisor?

Breakfast pastries, bagels, coffee and tea will be provided.

Registration is required and available online.
