Case Western Reserve University is offering Office Online for Box. Because Microsoft Office files are among the most uploaded, edited and shared files in Box, CWRU wanted to make it easier for users on campus to create and manage their Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets securely from anywhere and on any device, right from Box.
Benefits of Office Online for Box include:
- No plug-ins needed—it will work on any device;
- Functions on Chrome OS;
- Allows for simultaneous editing of a document by two or more collaborators; and
- Documents stay completely in the Box environment—never downloaded or synced to a local drive.
