Nursing graduate student selected for National League of Nurses scholar program

Rita Sfiligoj, a graduate student at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, is one of five PhD and Doctor of Nursing Practice candidates selected for the National League for Nurses (NLN) Jonas Scholars Program. The program aims to advance the science of nursing education through evidence-based research and a comprehensive mentoring initiative.

NLN Jonas Scholars are selected through competitive review. The funds from the $75,000 grant are distributed through the NLN Foundation for Nursing Education and include financial support for the scholars’ research through the 2012-13 academic term, as well as travel expenses to meetings with mentors at the NLN Education Summit.
