Dental school clinic to offer free exams and cleanings Jan. 9

The Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine’s student clinic will provide free dental cleanings, exams and X-rays from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 9, during the clinic’s annual Prophy Day for community service.

The dental clinic is located at 2124 Cornell Road.

The free services are available to anyone 18 and older. Patients who pass a medical history evaluation will be treated in order of their arrival; no advance appointments will be scheduled.

Participants also will receive a new patient coupon for half off the admitting fee for future appointments.

Prophy Day is an annual service event sponsored by the School of Dental Medicine’s Student Council. For more than 20 years, volunteer dental faculty and student dentists have provided this day of free services. Faculty oversee the students as they perform exams.
