Dental school hosts 18 Chinese visitors here to polish their orthodontic skills

Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dental Medicine is hosting 18 visitors from China’s hospitals and universities interested in learning new orthodontic skills.

The visit is part of the dental school’s efforts to reach out to international communities. The largest delegation of visitors is from Peking University. Guests are also from Capital University of Medicine and Science, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Stomatology Hospital at ChongQing Medical University, Fourth Military Medical University and Nihgxza People’s Hospital, Stomatological Hospital of Guangdong Province, Guanghua School of Stomatology, and Sun Yat-Sen University.

For several years, Chinese visitors have come to the dental school to learn and master some new orthodontic skills to take home. The first week of workshops concentrates on skills to construct orthodontic appliances, such as the customized arch wires.
