New bus route offers service to rapid station during commuter hours

To provide commuters with easier, safer access to the new Cedar–University Circle Red Line Rapid access point on the south side of Cedar Hill, the university has developed an interim bus route that begins today.

The bus, labeled “Cedar Rapid Express,” will run from 6:15 to 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 to 5:45 p.m. The bus route will run from the rapid station on Cedar Avenue to Crawford Hall and back, including stops at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. It will run Monday through Friday on a continuous loop, every 10 minutes, and it is scheduled to align with the rapid’s arrival and departure times.
