Neurology’s Nuria Lacuey-Lecumberri wins pilot award for research in Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy

Photo of Nuria Lacuey-LecumberriNuria Lacuey-Lecumberri, assistant professor of neurology, was named the recipient of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) UCB Center for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) Research Pilot award.

This pilot program awards grants to national and international researchers submitting innovative proposals that compliment and expand on the SUDEP research proposed in the Center for SUDEP Research.

The award is available to both young and established investigators exploring cutting-edge approaches to understanding and preventing human SUDEP. International applicants and applicants from outside the field of epilepsy with novel insight into the causes and prevention of SUDEP were encouraged to apply.
