“Negotiating for all, and for all you’re worth”

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women will host three workshops titled “Negotiating for all, and for all you’re worth” for different segments of the university community today (April 3) in Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248.

The sessions will be held at the following times:

  • Faculty: noon to 1:30 p.m.
  • Postdocs and graduate students: 3 to 4:30 p.m.
  • WISER and undergraduate students: 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Kathleen McGinn, the Cahners-Rabb Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University, will teach workshop attendees about leverage negotiation strategies women can use to enhance their career outcomes.
Attendees will learn how to enhance negotiation outcomes by:

  • Building awareness of gender triggers in negotiations;
  • Identifying paths for building connections and managing resistance in negotiations;
  • Creating value for self and others through process choices; and
  • Viewing negotiations as an opportunity to lead.
