UPI: The body fights gum disease better when fat cells, which trigger inflammation, disappear after weight loss, according to a new study done by School of Dental Medicine researchers. Inflammation from gum disease can erode bone and cause tooth loss, said Nabil Bissada, professor and chairman of the Department of Periodontics.
