The New York Times: A shift by the federal government in how it pays for drugs to treat dialysis patients could lead to a significant rise in blood transfusions for patients who aren’t getting enough of the medications. “They’ve traded one problem for another,” said Jay B. Wish, professor of medicine. “And the question is are the patients worse off, and that remains to be seen.”
