Livers are topic of Science Cafe Cleveland event at GLBC

During the June Science Café Cleveland event, two specialists in liver diseases will host an informal discussion on healthy and diseased livers and the process of liver transplantation. The discussion, Liver or leav’er: how to pull the switch when things aren’t working out,” will feature Cleveland Clinic’s John Fung, chair of the Digestive Disease Institute, and Lisa Yerian, director of Hepatobiliary Pathology. It will be held June 13 in the Tasting Room at Great Lakes Brewing Co.; drinks begin at 6:30 p.m. with the discussion starting around 7 p.m. The Case Western Reserve University chapter of Sigma Xi, WCPN ideastream and Great Lakes Brewing Co. will sponsor the event.
