Learn about patient access to health data at Aug. 9 forum

Since passage of the HITECH Act in 2010, America’s health care system has become an increasingly digital, data-driven enterprise. The influx of electronic health records and other technologies is rapidly changing the fight against cancer.

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network will host a forum on this topic Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the HiMSS Innovation Center 4th floor of Global Center (1 St. Clair Avenue).

This forum will bring together leading experts in the field to examine the current impact of technologies on patient access to their data, guidance and navigation through medical records, assessment of patient readiness to engage in technology and key policy barriers around the development and adoption of technologies across the care continuum and potential solutions.
