Law’s Maxwell Mehlman appointed as member of Genomics and Society Working Group

Max MehlmanMaxwell Mehlman, the Arthur E. Petersilge Professor of Law and professor of bioethics, was appointed as a member of the Genomics and Society Working Group of the National Advisory Council for Human Genome Research.

The advisory council is part of the National Human Genome Research Institute, which falls under the umbrella of the National Institutes of Health.

The working group advises the council on short- and long-range planning and priority setting for Genomics and Society activities at the institute, with particular emphasis on the Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) Research Program in the Division of Genomics and Society.
