Law’s Erik Jensen publishes paper, presents multiple times

Erik JensenErik Jensen, the Coleman P. Burke Professor of Law, published, “Sometimes Unguided (or Maybe Misguided) Economic Substance Guidance,” in the Journal of Taxation of Investments, Winter 2015. 

Jensen also made several presentations within the last six months, including:

  • Speaking on “‘Student’ Athletes and Big-Time College Athletics: Compensation and UBIT Issues,” as part of a  panel at the Cleveland Tax Institute.
  • Participated in a tax colloquium at the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University. The presenter was Professor Charlotte Crane of Northwestern; her paper is titled “Uncovering a Meaning for ‘Direct Tax,’” and
  • Sitting on a panel of the Committee on Sales, Exchanges, and Basis of the ABA Section of Taxation in Washington, D.C.
