Law, bioethics professor Jessica Berg publishes two papers, presents across U.S.

Jessica Berg, professor of law and bioethics, recently completed two papers for publication. One, “Informed Consent for Registry Research,” was a white paper for Health and Human Services’ Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ) and was published in September. The other, “Times, they are a Changin’: New Rules Proposed for Research with Human Participants” for Hastings Center Report, is forthcoming this year.

Additionally, she presented on topics such as informed consent, ethics and enhancement research, community obligations of nonprofit hospitals and end-of-life decision-making across the country, from Washington, D.C., to San Francisco.

She also took part in two working groups recently: Informed Consent for Registry Research at AHRQ, and Emerging Technologies in Monterey, Calif.
