Kelvin Smith Library to host spring workshops for students, faculty, staff

Kelvin Smith Library will host the CaseLearns spring workshop series for those who seek to learn the latest emerging technologies and strategies to improve research and gain a competitive edge. Workshops are available to Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and staff.

The series will be composed of the following workshops:

  • “Literature Review Resources for the Social Sciences” Thursday, Feb. 15, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • “Bridging the New and Old: High Tech Scholarship for the Next Generation” Monday, Feb. 19, from 1 to 2 p.m.
  • “Digital Images: Part 3” Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • “Incorporating Media Projects in Your Curriculum” Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
  • “PowerPoint – From Intro to Advanced” Thursday, Feb. 22, from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • “Digital Images: Part 4” Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • “GIS” Monday, March 5, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • “Basics of Making A Research Poster” Monday, March 5, from 1 to 2 p.m.
  • “Measuring Scholarly Research Impact: Your Story Through Metrics” Monday, March 19, from 10:30 a.m. to noon
  • “Introduction to Web Design with WordPress” Tuesday, March 27, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • “Bridging the New and Old: High Tech Scholarship for the Next Generation” Friday, March 30, from 1 to 2 p.m.
  • “Telling your story: Using acting techniques to engage your audience” Tuesday, April 3, from 10 to 11 a.m.
  • “Alternatives to the Research Paper” Wednesday, April 4, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
