Assistant professor Jessica Green wins best dissertation award

Jessica Green, assistant professor of political science, won the Virginia Walsh Best Dissertation Award for her dissertation Private Authority, Public Goods: Private Authority in Global Environmental Politics. The American Political Science Association’s Organized Section on Science, Technology and Environmental Politics awards the Walsh Prize for the best dissertation in science, technology and environmental politics finished in the last two years.

Green completed her doctoral work at Princeton University in 2010, and holds a Master of Public Affairs in International Environmental Policy from Columbia University. Her article, “Private Standards in the Climate Regime: The Greenhouse Gas Protocol,” was recently published in the journal Business and Politics. At Case Western Reserve University, she teaches courses on environmental politics and policy, international relations and public policy.
