“An Introduction and Dialogue of the A People’s Platform for Injustice and Peace 2016 Platform

The Social Justice Institute will co-sponsor “An Introduction and Dialogue of the A People’s Platform for Injustice and Peace 2016 Platform” Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Ford Auditorium.

Adopted during the People’s Justice and Peace Convention in July, the PJPC platform is a legacy of efforts to transform the world nonviolently to end oppression. The platform includes policy planks for five justice-themed areas: economic, political, racial/social, environmental and international. It also includes five core practices: radical amazement, radical hospitality, good stewardship to create a shared abundance, compassion for every sentient being and eco-system, and truth, reparations and reconciliation.

The event is free and open to the community; young voters are especially encouraged to attend. Reservations are requested to socialjustice@case.edu or 216.368.7568.
