The English language is considered one of the most highly idiomatic in the world—filled with expressions such as “check it out” or “hang on.”
To help international students better understand the English language and its intricacies, Educational Services for Students will host “Idioms, Phrasal Verbs and Slang” Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Sears Building 464.
This event is part of the International Student Success Series, which is designed to help international students transition and better understand the social and academic culture at CWRU. Each topic is designed to incorporate important life skills taught by knowledgeable trainers from across campus or from the community.
