Students demonstrate their hackCWRU innovation

Innovation on display: Student-run hackathon encourages real-world solutions in just 36 hours

From student startups to research breakthroughs, innovation is an integral part of what makes Case Western Reserve University the institution that it is.

Our students, faculty and staff routinely put their creative minds to work to find real-world solutions to problems in society. And recently, more than 250 teams from Case Western Reserve and beyond did just that—all in just 36 hours at hackCWRU, a student-run hackathon.

Their innovations spanned ideas from a sign language translator to a method to better expose paramedics to EKGs during their training.

Watch their ideas take shape.
