HealthTrails fitness competition starts Monday

The HealthTrails fitness competition will begin Monday, Jan. 23. Faculty and staff can sign up as an individual or as part of a team of four to six people.

Participants are asked to exercise at least 30 minutes, drink 48-80 ounces of water and to take two 2-minute time outs daily, five days each week.

They will track their progress on the HealthTrails website or app. As participants log progress, they will virtually travel down some of the most beautiful and exotic trails in the known world.

The program offers the following incentives:

  • Every participant will receive a five-visit pass to CWRU’s 121 Fitness where they can lift, ride a bike or take a class;
  • 15 randomly selected participants who successfully travel 600 virtual miles over the 12 weeks will receive a Bluetooth speaker media stand;
  • Five randomly selected finishers will receive a five-visit gift certificate for small group training at 121 Fitness; and
  • The top three teams will win a free team lunch on campus.

Registration is open now.
