Get free student tickets for tomorrow’s Writer’s Center Stage event with Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright

The 2016–17 William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series continues its series at The Maltz Performing Arts Center with award-winning author Lawrence Wright Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Maltz Performing Arts Center.

A limited number of student tickets will be available in person beginning at 10 a.m. today (Oct. 18). Students can show their Case Western Reserve ID at the Tinkham Veale University Center’s first floor information desk to obtain a ticket.

Wright wrote one novel (God’s Favorite, 2000) and eight nonfiction books, including the acclaimed bestseller The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11, for which he received a Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction. In 2006, Time magazine proclaimed The Looming Tower one of the 100 best nonfiction books ever written.

Wright’s 2013 book, Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief, was a National Book Award finalist and the subject of a 2015 HBO documentary directed by Alex Gibney.

His latest book is The Terror Years.

His appearance is part of the William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series, sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation. Case Western Reserve University is the academic partner for this series.

A free shuttle will be available to transport ticketed guests to the Maltz Performing Arts Center from the Linsalata entrance of the Tinkham Veale University Center.
