CWRU students at a homecoming event

“Geek Week” packed full of events for students

The Student Homecoming Committee offers a packed schedule for students to get involved in homecoming events throughout the week.

This year’s theme is Geek Week, giving students throughout campus the chance to show off their spirit and pride for the university and what they like to “geek out” about. Whether it be academics, sports, comic books, movies or something else entirely, the committee hopes students have the chance to showcase what they are passionate about both in and out of the classroom.

Geek Week highlights are:

  • Homecoming Kickoff: Hosted by Class Office Collective, the event will feature Freshmore Pushball and the Upperclassmen Flag Football games, free food, the announcement of the 2016 Homecoming Court and outdoor games. Festivities will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Freiberger Field.
  • Tinkerball Homecoming Dance: Free to all undergraduate students, the dance will have a DJ and various entertainment. University Program Board will hold the event Saturday, Oct. 8, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
