Flora Stone Mather Center for Women to start two new student groups

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women is starting two student groups: the Feminist Collective @ CWRU and the Student Leadership Committee.

The Feminist Collective @ CWRU (FCC) is a student group committed to social, political and economic equity through consciousness-raising and activism. The FCC is gender inclusive and believes that intersectionality is a critical component to advancing gender equity and improving our world.

The Student Leadership Committee (SLC) is a student group committed to understanding differences in gender and leadership. Members will serve as advocates for and participants in leadership and professional development.

Students interested in joining the groups should attend informational sessions on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Kelvin Smith Library LL06A. The Student Leadership Committee will meet at 6 p.m. and the Feminist Collective @ CWRU host a session at 7 p.m.
