Farm Harvest Festival

Celebrate nature and sustainability at the eighth annual Farm Harvest Festival Saturday, Sept. 30, from 1 to 6 p.m. at University Farm.

The event will feature:

  • Hayrides,
  • A cornhole tournament (3 p.m.),
  • Beeswax lipbalm making,
  • Petting animals,
  • Student performances,
  • Knitting,
  • Mushroom and composting demos,
  • Hiking,
  • A sustainability research showcase,
  • An opportunity to plant your own herbs,
  • A tall grass maze,
  • The chance to make microbead-free scrubs,
  • A volleyball tournament (2 p.m.),
  • An herb ID contest.

There also will be free sustainable food, including Mitchell’s Ice Cream and cricket tasting.

Buses will leave for the University Farm from Thwing Center approximately every 30 minutes from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Parking also is available at the farm, and CWRU Cycling also will be biking from the Village Starbucks at noon.
