Faculty: Find out how to incorporate more critical thinking in your courses at UCITE session March 31

While many individuals in higher education speak of the value of critical thinking, faculty often feel intense time pressures or do not have sufficient strategies to seamlessly integrate critical thinking into instruction.

At the next University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education session, Matthew Garrett, associate professor of music education, will:

  • Provide research-based context for transfer as critical thinking;
  • Share learning strategies through which students can develop the cognitive behavior of transfer; and
  • Identify assessment tools that can appropriately measure the development of this critical thinking skill in university learning environments.

The session will be held Thursday, March 31, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Herrick Room (use Adelbert Road doors).

Pizza and sodas will be provided at this session. RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
