Brad Ricca, a full-time lecturer in the Department of English, wrote an article for Book Riot titled “Comic books are real books.” In the piece, Ricca categorizes comic books among other books, contending that they share enough of the important characteristics to be of the same value.
Ricca shared his experience of reading his first comic book and his opinions of various names that have been proposed for the medium.
