Eight staff members receive CAPS certificate of achievement

On Jan. 27, eight staff members received the Case Western Reserve University Administrative Professionals Series (CAPS) program Certificate of Achievement in Financial Management.

Recipients are: Michael Brown, Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences; Tacarra Bowens, Case School of Engineering; Jon Donze, School of Medicine, hematology & oncology; Peter Lawson, School of Medicine, family medicine; Kathy Miller, School of Medicine, pediatrics; Dawn Richards, School of Medicine, infectious diseases; Cynthia Smith, human resources; and Edith Reed Williams, School of Law.

Since the program started in April 2009, 69 people across campus have received their certificate. Certificates are awarded twice per year.

Allison Heuring, director of budget and finance, and Jennifer Loudiana, program coordinator and instructor, spoke of the merits of the program, the accomplishment of those receiving their certificates and expressed thanks to the instructors for their time and commitment to the classes and the program.

The program is sponsored by the office of the senior vice president for finance and chief financial officer, as well as Information Technology Services. The series of courses is open to all full and part time university employees.  Find out more information and register for classes online.
