Dhamakapella won second place at Sangeet Saagar 2017, a national South-Asian fusion a cappella competition.
At the competition, held Feb. 18, Dhamakapella competed against teams from Rutgers University, Loyola University of Chicago, University of Maryland and University of Miami.
The Delta Sigma Iota fraternity at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill hosted the competition.
The team won $800 for its second place finish.
Dhamakapella’s next competition will be held at the end of March.
