“Consumer Scams: How to Spot, Avoid and Respond”

The Siegal Lifelong Learning Center will host the next event in the Northeast Ohio Public Policy Forums series Thursday, March 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Lakewood Public Library Main Branch (15425 Detroit Ave., Lakewood).

The topic of the event will be “Consumer Scams: How to Spot, Avoid and Respond.”

Teresa Dixon-Murray, a banking and personal finance reporter for The Plain Dealer, will moderate a panel discussion.

Panelists will be:

  • Larissa Bungo, assistant regional director of the Federal Trade Commission;
  • Sheryl Harris, director of consumer affairs for Cuyahoga County; and
  • Sue McConnell, president of Better Business Bureau-Cleveland.
