Collection Roadshow

Join Kelvin Smith Library for Collection Roadshow Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. in the Dampeer Room to kick off the library’s Student Book Collecting Contest.

Students who participate in the contest will have a chance to win up to $1,000 and winners will be eligible to participate in the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America’s National Collegiate Book Collecting Contest 2017.

At the kickoff event, Daniel Goldmark, director of the Center for Popular Music Studies, will present observations on the act of collecting and share examples from his personal collections of sheet music and comic books.

While the contest is limited to students, the event is open to the university community.
