Center for Social Justice to host poverty simulation Nov. 2; information session Oct. 13

The Center for Social Justice will host an information session Oct. 13 at noon in Gund Hall Room A62 for a poverty simulation it will hold Nov. 2. Especially useful to students interested in careers in public service or public policy, the poverty simulation uses role-playing to take participants through a variety of scenarios, such as being a single parent or senior living on social security. With low resources and high stress, participants must try and provide for themselves and their family.

In addition to seeking participants, the Center for Social Justice is looking for volunteers to role-play as staff of various agencies, such as social-service organizations and employers.
