Campus Spotlight: Annual Giving

After the traditional shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed, there’s a day dedicated to supporting the community, Giving Tuesday. And at Case Western Reserve, we have our own take: #GivingTuesdayatCWRU.

On this day, Nov. 28, the university community can support 26 different programs and student organizations, such as Advocates for Cleveland Health, CWRU Habitat for Humanity and CWRU Green Dot.

So who’s behind this day of support here at Case Western Reserve? The Office of Annual Giving.

The team of six that works out of the Linsalata Alumni Center is charged with the overall planning and strategy of annual giving at the university. The department works to increase participation and engage as many alumni, parents and friends as possible throughout the fiscal year with such methods as producing quarterly direct marketing appeals, operating a year-round phone center, sending e-solicitations, initiating crowdfunding campaigns and more.
