Book on world literature in the 1960s by English’s William Marling wins collegiate book award

headshot of William MarlingEnglish Professor William Marling’s Gatekeepers: The Emergence of World Literature and the 1960s, published by Oxford University Press, is the recipient of this year’s College English Association of Ohio’s (CEAO) Nancy Dasher Award.

He will be honored at the association’s conference Saturday, April 14.

About the award

The Nancy Dasher Award recognizes outstanding publications by faculty members from a CEAO-member department in one of three areas each year: creative writing, professional and pedagogical issues, and literary scholarship and criticism. The 2018 award is in the category of literary scholarship and criticism.
