Biomedical engineering’s Erin Lavik talks childhood science fair memories

Tales from the science fair

The Columbus Dispatch: In honor of State Science Day, researchers from across the state shared their childhood science fair memories, including biomedical engineering associate professor Erin Lavik. Lavik entered a science fair in fourth grade in Washington, D.C., where she earned honorable mention for growing copper sulphate crystals. “I had no idea what a science project was or how to go about it, but we were told that, if we entered the science fair, we got out of class for a day, so I was game.”
