Anant Madabhushi, the F. Alex Nason Professor II of Biomedical Engineering, was named the recipient of the 2017 IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Technical Achievement Award.
Madabhushi was selected “for contributions in computer aided diagnosis, pattern recognition, machine learning and image analysis tools for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response prediction of disease from digital pathology and radiographic images.”
The award ceremony will be held at the 39th IEEE EMBS meeting July 11–15 on Jeju Island, South Korea.
