Book donations

Donations are accepted of:

  • all books, including comic books and graphic novels
  • older magazines
  • vinyl records, CDs and DVDs
  • needlecraft pattern books and pamphlets.

The following are not accepted:

  • Encyclopedias
  • National Geographic magazines
  • Reader’s Digest condensed books
  • current magazines
  • science and computer textbooks that are more than five years old.

Books can be dropped off at the warehouse at 10620 Cedar Ave., between Fairhill Avenue and East 105th Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visit the package delivery dock on Cedar and ring the bell. Individuals are responsible for unloading their own boxes.

Because of space limitations in the gym, volunteers sort through donations to share with local community organizations in need of reading materials as well as the Amish community. Books too damaged or missing pages are recycled. And other books are packed away for the following year’s sale

For further information or to arrange book donation pickups, call the Siegal Lifelong Learning office at 216.368.2090 or visit acesite.org/book-sale.
