Reuters: Drugs that may slow multiple sclerosis progression are expensive—upward of $3,000 per month—and the benefits are modest, according to a recent study. “The good news from this study is that these drugs do seem to be effective, on average,” said Kathleen A. Smyth, associate professor and director of the Division of Health Services Research. “The bad news is, these positive outcomes come at a very high price.”
