Get involved with planning Thwing Study Over

Applications are open now for the Thwing Study Over Committee. Students can get involved in planning Thwing Study Over, one of the most popular social events on campus.

The event offers students a break from all of the books, papers and last-minute assignments. Held during spring and fall semesters on a night just before finals week, students converge on Thwing Center for free food, massages, entertainment and giveaways.

The planning committee is comprised of four subcommittees: Student Organizations and Logistics, PR/Marketing and Food and Entertainment. Each subcommittee has multiple members.

The committee meets weekly starting midway through the semester to discuss ideas and ensure subcommittee goals are being met.

This year, there will also be a Thwing Study Over Committee retreat Sept. 30, from 8 a.m. to noon for chosen members. Those who apply should have this date available.

The application is available online. Students have until Sunday, Sept. 24, at 11:59 p.m. to apply.

This semester’s Thwing Study Over will be held Sunday, Dec. 10, from 7 to 11 p.m.
