As a promising member of the Class of 2016, Alexandra Piepho balanced her passion for exploration and learning with a variety of enriching interests in both the arts and sciences.
To honor Piepho, who passed away in 2012, her parents, family and friends created the Alexandra Piepho Learning and Life Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded at this year’s Honors Assembly April 28.
Qualified applicants will:
- Exhibit a broad scope of learning interests through their Case Western Reserve University coursework, activities and extracurricular involvement;
- Demonstrate their enthusiasm for experiential learning and life as evidenced by their personally stated interests and/or recommendations on their behalf;
- Provide help and guidance to others, as demonstrated though their past and current volunteering with organizations; and
- Demonstrate their ability to accept others, as evidenced by their personally stated interests and/or recommendations written on their behalf.
The scholarship application is due March 13.
