Nathaniel Braman, a graduate student studying biomedical engineering in the Center of Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics (CCIPD), and Rakesh Shiradkar, a research associate in CCIPD and biomedical engineering, were awarded Research Trainee awards from the Radiologic Society of North America (RSNA) for their annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois, in November.
Braman was awarded a $1,000 RSNA Trainee Research Prize for his work “Texture Entropy Features at 1 Centimeter Outside HER2+ Breast Cancer Lesions Predict Response-Associated Molecular Subtypes on DCE-MRI” in the breast cancer category.
Shiradkar was awarded a $1,000 RSNA Trainee Research Prize for his research project “Intra-Tumoral Texture and Features of Organ Distension Predict Prostate Cancer Biochemical Recurrence on Pre-Treatment MRI” in the genitourinary radiology category.
