One World Day

Aug. 25

Cleveland is home to diverse cultures, and One World Day celebrates all of them—from the Philippines to Ethiopia to Ireland and beyond. This annual event in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens is a tradition that draws thousands of guests each year for a naturalization ceremony, parade of flags, live cultural performances, ethnic food, a children’s area and more.

Established in 1916 with the development of what is now the British Cultural Garden, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens have expanded to include 36 distinct gardens, growing to reflect the evolving immigration patterns in Cleveland—all right in CWRU’s neighborhood.

This year’s event marks the 78th One World Day. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
