University Remembers Engineering Professor, Steel Metallurgy Expert

Friday, days after determining his students' final grades, Gary M. Michal, PhD, LTV Steel Professor of Metallurgy, and former chair of Case School of Engineering's Department of Materials Science and Engineering, passed away following a four-year battle with mesothelioma. An internationally renowned expert in steel metallurgy, Michal is remembered as a deep thinker and welcoming professor. Read more.
